Home / Lifeline Program

Lifeline Program

Pinpoint Fiber supports the federal Lifeline program for qualifying low-income customers. Eligible households may receive a Lifeline discount on their qualifying phone or internet service.

Eligible households participate in at least one of the following programs or have a child/dependent who participates in one of these programs:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps
  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
  • Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
  • Tribal Programs (and live on federally-recognized Tribal lands)

Additional eligibility criteria may apply to residents of federally recognized tribal lands. Income-based eligibility is determined by the total household income at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Lifeline offers federal “recurring monthly” credits, totaling $5.25 for voice services or $9.25 for internet broadband services, for each customer eligible for Lifeline assistance.* An additional credit of $3.50 may be available to qualifying phone customers through our state’s Lifeline program, Nebraska Telephone Assistance Program (NTAP).

  • The credit amount will not exceed the total Subscriber Line Charge and Residential Local Exchange rate.
